Medusa, a gorgon in Greek mythology with snakes for hair that could turn onlookers to stone, is often seen as a symbol of female power and protection, whose image is used to ward off evil.

This handmade, one of a kind necklace features a Carnelian 20mm square Medusa intaglio pendant set in sterling silver on a beaded necklace of blue-green Natural Hubei Turquoise smooth rounds, burnt orange Hessonite Garnet hand cut, faceted nuggets and micro faceted rounds and sterling silver accent beads and is finished with a hand forged sterling silver hook and eye clasp with a 2” oxidized sterling silver extension chain. Necklace measures 16.25-18.25” in length.
